Smoothly Does It

The eskimosoup team are delighted to working on behalf of NHS Hull to organise their Business Week event with Richard Reed, co-founder of innocent drinks.

Richard is one of the most significant British business figures of the past decade, and has been an inspiration to the eskimosoup team. It’s been just over a year since we took the whole company to Sheffield to hear the ‘innocent story’ and came back buzzing with ideas!

You can imagine then that the eskimosoup team were extra pleased when we were appointed to run the event. It’s called “Good Health, Good Business” and takes place at Hull Truck Theatre from 10am until 12pm on Tuesday 8th June as part of Hull Business Week.

As well as hearing how managing employee wellbeing has helped innocent become the No.1 smoothie brand in Europe with a turnover in excess of £100m, those attending will find out about all of the services NHS Hull offer for free to help keep Hull’s workforce healthy.

The event also features live entertainment, a martial arts display from Strike, and details on the launch of a free NHS occupational health service to small businesses.

Good Health, Good Business is free to attend and is followed by a networking lunch.
Anyone wishing to attend should register by emailing health@eskimosoup.co.uk or by calling (01482) 223866.

We hope you can join us for this inspirational and valuable event!

Will he manage to cram 4 years work into a 30 minute presentation? Will his approach gain the respect of his fellow marketing professionals? Will he wander off from script with anecdotes about Fearne Cotton and Keith Chegwin?

The respective answers are: he better do, he really hopes he will, and he inevitably will!

Magazine designed by eskimosoup wins Award of Excellence

A magazine designed by eskimosoup for Hull residents, has been commended at a recent awards ceremony.

‘ThreeSixFive’; the annual report and accounts of NHS Hull; received an award of excellence at the Communicators in Business (North) Awards 2010. The ceremony took place on Friday 26th March at the Midland Hotel, Manchester.

Rachel Johnson, Corporate Communications Manager for NHS Hull says:

“We’re delighted to have received the award as it recognises the hard work put in by the Communications Team. The award is also thanks in part to our patients and members of the public, as without their input and agreeing to share their experiences, the report would not have been nearly as successful or as meaningful to local people. “

The magazine contains a wealth of information about local healthcare, including interviews with staff and patients, service updates, and a handy directory of useful contact numbers.

Research carried out earlier in the year showed that almost 9 in every 10 readers of ThreeSixFive considered it ‘good’ or ‘excellent’.

Rachel continues:

“We wanted to make the magazine attractive to readers, and we knew that we didn’t need to look very far afield to do this. All of the photographs were taken in Hull and the magazine itself was designed by Hull-based marketing company, eskimosoup, so it is really is a magazine which celebrates local people and local achievements in healthcare.”
